I GO OPEN CORPUS GRANADA

The 1st CORPUS GRANADA GO OPEN is an A-Class tournament open to any player regardless of nationality. It’s valid for the Spanish Championship and EGF rankable. It will take place on June 21-22, 2025.

On June 20, we will host a School Promotion Tournament (for players up to 16 years old, non-ranked).

On Saturday, professional player Mateusz Surma 3P will review games and give a presentation.

In addition, there will be complementary activities for amateurs and companions.

  • June 20: Reception for participants and School Promotion event

  • Main tournament Type: A-Class valid for the Spanish championship (CEGO) and EGF rating
  • System: Five MacMahon rounds, no handicap
  • Rules: Japanese
  • Time settings: Main time: 60 min + 3 byoyomis of 20 seconds
  • Komi: 6,5

Registration

To secure your spot, you must complete the registration payment. After submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation email. Payment details will be sent later.

For special rates, you must provide the necessary documentation to verify eligibility.

Registering for the tournament grants Club Deportivo Alhambra GO the right to use your image for potential public communication, either online or in print, using photos taken during the event.

Club Ranking
  • All sports clubs or associations with participants registered in the Absolute Category may participate.
  • Each participating club may register as many members as it wishes, with a minimum of three participants required.
  • Each club member will earn points based on their final ranking in the Absolute Individual Championship (see table below).
  • Only the top three highest-ranked players will contribute points if a club or association has more than three registered members.
  • The club or association with the most points will be declared the Champion of the I Open de Go CORPUS GRANADA.
  • In the event of a tie, the club with the most first-place finishes will be given priority. If the tie persists, second-place finishes will be considered, followed by third-place finishes.
  • If the tie remains, the tied clubs will be declared co-champions (ex aequo).
  • Trophies will be awarded to the top three ranked clubs or associations.

Ranking table for clubs

  • From position 31 onward, all ranked athletes will earn 1 point.
  • Participation in the Club Ranking does not require playing additional matches, as the scores are taken from the Absolute Individual Ranking.
Prizes

Prizes are not cumulative.

Players must have played all matches and be present at the awards ceremony to be eligible for prizes.

  • The top three ranked players in the absolute category will receive:
    ○ 1st Place: €250
    ○ 2nd Place: €150
    ○ 3rd Place: €50
  • Additional prizes will be awarded to:
    ○ The youngest player in the tournament
    ○ The oldest player in the tournament
    ○ The player who has traveled the farthest to Granada
    ○ The highest-ranked player from Granada

Important: Monetary prizes are subject to a minimum level of participation in the tournament and may be canceled if participation is insufficient.

Accommodations and Lunch(UPDATED)

There is the option of staying at the College where the tournament will take place. All offers include breakfast.
